Ingredients

  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 120 g unsalted butter
  • 4 large eggs
  • 150 g granulated sugar
  • 30 g cocoa powder
  • 5 ml vanilla extract
  • 2 g salt
  • 10 g powdered sugar


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175 C and line a 20 cm round cake pan with parchment paper then lightly grease the sides.
  2. Melt 200 g dark chocolate with 120 g unsalted butter over low heat stirring until smooth then remove from heat.
  3. In a bowl whisk 4 eggs with 150 g granulated sugar until fully combined and slightly thick.
  4. Slowly pour the melted chocolate mixture into the eggs while whisking continuously.
  5. Add 30 g cocoa powder 5 ml vanilla extract and 2 g salt then mix until smooth.
  6. Pour batter into the pan and bake for 25 minutes until edges are set and center is just firm.
  7. Cool completely before removing from pan and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
